Nikki Haley is set to drop out of the Republican race.
The former South Carolina governor is expected to give a speech in her home state at 10am local time.
The announcement follows a poor performance from Haley on Super Tuesday in which she only won over two states; Vermont and Washington D.C.
Haley’s withdrawal officially ends her challenge against Trump.
Mr Trump as of Haley’s departure will have no major opponents in the race to the White House.
